Book Poland: The Hanseatic League, Teutonic Knights and Copernicus in Gdańsk, Pomerania and Warmia
The picture above exemplifies the resilience and the fascination of Northern Poland. Though 95% of Gdańsk was destroyed during the Second World War, the reconstruction has successfully replicated this historic Hanseatic town, famous for its waterways and amber artefacts. We also visit the Solidarity museum and view the starting point for the original uprising, featuring one of the world’s most distinctive moustaches.
